Our Jewelry

  • For generations, solid yellow gold has been the trademark of beauty and elegance for both men and women alike. It's a symbol of status and a representation of your taste in fashion. But not all gold is the same. 14K gold is of high quality making it the most practical. Both gold filled and sterling silver offer affordable options but with reduced longevity.

Our birthstone connectors include lab grown stones to keep the price affordable for all. These include the Emerald, Sapphire, Ruby, Alexandrite and Diamond. The Amethyst, Aquamarine, Citrine, Peridot, Tourmaline, Zircon and Mozambique are natural. The birthstone charms are Cubic Zirconia. We also offer a beautiful baguette that is Moissanite.

Any chain, charm or connector will be beautiful and bring you joy!

  • We will always have a curated selection of at least 8 chains of varying size in solid 14K, Gold Filled and Sterling Silver to choose from based on availability. We also have a rotating selection of charms and connectors to add to your jewelry.

  • Solid yellow gold will never fade, never tarnish, and retains its value. For a piece that is meant to stay on 24/7, this is your best option.

Gold filled and Sterling are more budget friendly but come with limited longevity due to its exposure to certain chemicals such as Chlorine, and Alcohol.

A special note about white gold: White gold is made from a combination of yellow gold and other metals such as nickel, silver or palladium. As a result, it’s actually off-white. The signature color of white gold comes from the coating of Rhodium applied to it before it goes on the market. Rhodium plating white gold is a standard procedure in the fine jewelry industry. The rhodium plating on your jewelry should last 1 year but the base color may begin to show through in places of wear, such as between the links, reveling the champagne color of the natural white gold. Your bodies ph and external factors such as chlorine can speed this process. It can be taken off, re plated by your jeweler and then reattached when needed.

Care and Maintenance

  • Your Sparx Jewelry will only require very occasional cleaning with a mild soap and a soft brush to maintain the sparkle and beauty of your chains and stones. solid gold is the best option and offers the best longevity. Gold Filled will tarnish eventually when exposed to hairspray, perfume or lotions. Silver can tarnish or pit if exposed to high levels of chlorine.

A note about white gold…Virtually all white gold on the market is plated with Rhodium to make it bright white. This could rub off over time and expose the natural champagne colored white gold underneath.

  • You can remove the jewelry anytime with a pair a scissors. Simply cut the small ring that was welded. Come back in for a re-weld ($25) when you are ready to wear it again. No need to remove your jewelry for TSA airport security!

  • This is dependent on your lifestyle, job and other external factors. We cannot guarantee the lifespan of your unique jewelry. All of the welds done on the day of sale are thoroughly inspected to be a secure and complete weld. The weld point on a chain is the strongest point. All of our chains are strength tested by the company they are purchased from so random breakage is an unlikely occurrence. Sparx Permanent Jewelry is not liable for lost or broken chains. If your permanent piece should break or stretch, we will do our best to repair it!

  • We certainly can try! We will be happy to fix your outside piece. There is a $25 re-weld cost in this case.

  • Yes! Our guarantee is listed at the bottom of each of our website pages.

Even though gold is a hardy material, these chains are fundamentally dainty and a could stretch or perhaps break if pulled too hard.

Children may get jewelry with parental discretion. Children under the age of 14 must be with an adult. All young people are responsible for the jewelry once it's on their body. It is the adults decision that considers their sport, their age, their growth and any other daily factors that could cause excessive wear and tear.

If the chain breaks and the weld is still in tact, the repair cost ($25) is the responsibility of the wearer. We will assess the chain and discuss options should the weld break (please see our guarantee below).

Sparx Permanent Jewelry is not liable for lost chains.

Our pieces are beautiful however they are not labeled indestructible!

  • Yes! If your chain length is too long after wearing for a while, or you would like it moved to the other wrist, it can be done for $25. If you feel your chain is too tight, we can add length to it by added a small length of chain, adding on a connector or by purchasing a new chain.

  • Since we are wearing these chains “permanently”, meaning we are not able to take them off to avoid exposures in our daily lives, there needs to be a reasonable expectation for longevity attached to each metal.

    Gold filled and silver:

Even though the 14K gold layer on our gold filled jewelry is thicker than plated jewelry, the exposure to the alcohol in lotions and tanning products will begin to break down that layer. You can minimize this process with nightly cleaning. Even with care, gold filled and sterling jewelry, when worn everyday, the finish will begin to dull or darken with exposure to everyday chemicals in our tap water, soaps and cosmetics. These metals are water resistant. Not water proof. Silver is especially sensitive to extended/repeated exposure to chlorine. If you are a daily swimmer or a regular hot tub visitor, this should be considered. A good cleaning is always recommended but over time the chemical will cause darkening or even pitting.

    Solid 14K yellow gold:

Solid 14K gold however, is much more water and chemical “proof” compared to gold filled or silver and will retain its beauty with daily wear. It is the “gold” standard for permanent jewelry! With that being said, none of these metals are pure, meaning they are all either alloys or have an internal metal in the case of gold filled. The copper that is in the 14K alloy can even react to an individuals body chemistry, perspiration and lotions causing darkness on the skin in some cases.

A nightly cleaning with a product like Dawn Dish detergent and some warm water, followed by a thorough rinse and a good pat dry should be incorporated in your routine to extend the life of your new jewelry regardless of the metal you choose.

Once a chain, charm or connector has darkened due to exposure it cannot be salvaged which is why it is important to take these steps for care in order to get the longest wear possible.
